Guides for installing and using the Aiobot MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor — Guard risk controls and the Promax panel. Not trading signals.
Short definitions are in the knowledge base.
-
How to pass a prop firm challenge (what actually fails attempts)
Most evaluations fail on unread PDF rules, oversized tickets, and revenge after a red trade — not on a missing “secret strategy”. Software cannot pass the firm’s engine for you.
-
MT5 vs MT4: what actually changes for a trader
MetaTrader 5 uses .ex5 / MQL5; MetaTrader 4 uses .ex4 / MQL4. An MT4 Expert Advisor will not appear in MT5. Aiobot ships only as MT5 .ex5.
-
Best time to trade gold (XAUUSD sessions and overlap)
Gold is most liquid when London and New York are both active. Rollover and thin books are a cost, not a signal. Convert from a named clock.
-
Fair value gap (FVG): what it is and what it is not
A fair value gap is a three-candle price imbalance. It is not a clock, not an order block, and not an entry signal. Promax does not detect FVGs.
-
Revenge trading and overtrading: what they are and what actually interrupts them
Revenge trading is sizing up or immediately reversing after a loss to “get it back”. Overtrading is too many tickets versus the plan. Mechanical daily caps interrupt both; they are not therapy.
-
Risk reward ratio: how to calculate R from stop and target
Risk:reward is target distance divided by stop distance in the same units. A 1:2 sketch does not promise a win rate. Lot size still comes from the dollar risk, not from R.
-
What is an Expert Advisor? (EA vs signals)
An Expert Advisor is an MQL program in the Experts folder that can place and manage trades on MetaTrader. It is not a Telegram signal, a copy-trade feed, or an indicator.
-
Forex trading sessions and the London–New York overlap
Forex trades in three main blocks: Asia, London, and New York. The London–New York overlap is usually the busiest. Convert from a named clock — do not mix broker server time with New York local.
-
MT5 Expert Advisor not showing, or AutoTrading disabled
If the EA is missing from Navigator, it is usually the wrong data folder, an .ex4 file, or a missing Refresh. AutoTrading disabled by client versus server is a different switch.
-
Daily drawdown vs max drawdown (and trailing)
Daily loss is a session tripwire. Max drawdown is the account floor. Trailing moves that floor up with new highs. Equity versus balance changes when floating loss counts.
-
How to calculate lot size (forex, gold, MT5)
Lot size = risk amount ÷ (stop distance × pip value). The 1% rule and remaining daily loss change the risk amount, not the formula.
-
ICT killzone times in New York, UTC, and on MT5
ICT killzones are short windows quoted in New York local time. UTC shifts with daylight saving. Promax boxes follow broker GMT, detected automatically.
-
Demo versus live license
Demo runs without a key. Real, live, and prop accounts need a 24-character offline key for one MT5 login.
-
How Aiobot Guard works
Five on/off equity rules plus Max Daily Trades. Rules run only in Active Smart Mode. You set the numbers.
-
How the Promax panel works
On-chart lot sizing, sessions, killzones, and order helpers. You still choose the entry.
-
Install Aiobot on MetaTrader 5
Put aiobot.ex5 in the Experts folder, refresh Navigator, and attach it to a chart. Demo needs no key.
-
What Max Daily Trades does
A Guard layer that blocks extra entries after the day’s trade cap. The counter resets at broker midnight.
