ICT killzone times in New York, UTC, and on MT5
By Aiobot · Oct 6, 2026
The London killzone is commonly 02:00–05:00 New York local time and the New York FX killzone 07:00–10:00 New York local. Index traders often use 08:30–11:00 New York. Because the windows are fixed in New York time, their UTC equivalents jump one hour at US daylight saving. A killzone is a clock filter, not an entry. Promax draws London and New York boxes from broker GMT plus DST — align Broker GMT so the box matches the clock you study.

These windows are New York local teaching clocks: London killzone 02:00–05:00 and New York killzone 07:00–10:00 (America/New_York). US daylight saving applies on today’s date. Promax draws those two from broker GMT. It does not draw a third killzone or a Silver Bullet.
Weekday session hours only. This clock does not model the Friday close or the Sunday open.
What is an ICT killzone?
A killzone is a short window inside a session when many ICT/SMC traders watch for liquidity and displacement. It is not the same as the full London or New York session — those hours are in forex trading sessions. Term: killzone.
What times are used (New York local)?
Common teaching clocks, always in New York local time (EST in winter, EDT in summer):
| Window | New York local |
|---|---|
| London killzone | 02:00–05:00 |
| New York FX killzone | 07:00–10:00 |
| New York index / cash open variant | 08:30–11:00 |
Some sources end NY FX at 09:00. Use one table and stay consistent. These clocks are not a guarantee of a move.
UTC in winter (EST, UTC−5): London KZ 07:00–10:00 UTC; NY FX 12:00–15:00 UTC.
UTC in summer (EDT, UTC−4): London KZ 06:00–09:00 UTC; NY FX 11:00–14:00 UTC.
US and UK daylight saving do not switch on the same weekend every year — convert from New York local, do not hard-code a single UTC.
How does Silver Bullet fit?
Silver Bullet is a narrower ICT window inside New York hours. A second article would compete for the same clock queries. Treat it as a subset of the NY killzone, not a second strategy article. A fair value gap is a price imbalance, not a clock.
How do MT5 and Promax show this?
MT5 candles follow broker server time, which may not be New York. The Promax panel draws London KZ and NY KZ from Broker GMT and DST (product defaults are in that GMT frame, for example London KZ 06:00–09:00 and NY KZ 11:00–14:00 on the broker clock after GMT is set). You still choose whether a setup inside the box is valid. Promax is not a signal feed.
The clock on this page converts only two New York-local windows: the London killzone 02:00–05:00 and the New York killzone 07:00–10:00. Promax draws those two. It does not draw a third killzone or a Silver Bullet window. The index hours in the table above are a teaching clock, not a Promax box.
Aiobot does not guarantee results from trading a time window.
